Here you will find our Whistle Stop Heritage and Community Garden.
On Saturdays from 7:30am – 12pm on the other side of the track is the Granite Belt Farmers Markets where you can pick up some of the fantastic, seasonal produce grown in the region.
There’s always a vast array of seasonal veg and fruit offerings on the collective produce stall, most organically grown. Plus many other regular stallholders selling baked goods, hot drinks, seedlings, apple juice, meat, art and crafts. Many stalls have an approach of regenerative, organic or nutrient dense farming practices.
Grab some organic sourdough baked goods from Cam’s Bread, or have breakfast at the market with sourdough doughnuts from The Farmer’s Doughnut, and support some of the other local producers. Come for a stroll around the Whistle Stop Heritage and Community Garden, have a browse in our plant nursery for something to add to your garden and look for a treasure in the Goods Shed second hand books.
Down the road from the market entrance on Davadi St. is Artworks Granite Belt – featuring gardens, an art gallery and workshop space, community games space and Artworks Café – open Saturday and Sunday 9am – 2pm.
Here is a beautiful garden which runs along the Davadi Street side of the precinct.
The old QFS building is being restored with incredible potential to provide community spaces.
To assist in the completion of this project, please contact Artworks Granite Belt.
